The centre will
help enhance knowledge in the cloud, core engineering and emerging technologies
and build employable skills among students.
In
a bid to strengthen the cloud ecosystem and accelerate digital transformation across
the organization, the Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET),
Jammu has launched a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) in partnership with
Nebula Cloud.
Formally
launched by Dr. Ankur Gupta, Director, MIET along with Mr. Venkata B Ganugula,
Founder and CEO of Nebula Cloud and other dignitaries here on June 6th, 2022.
The
Cloud CCoE would help MIET enhance knowledge in the cloud, engineering and
emerging technologies space and build employable skills among students, and also
acts as a centralized enterprise architecture function that leads and governs
cloud computing adoption within the institute and its various departments, as
well as innovation and migration efforts, lower the overall cost of digital
transformation, and increase business agility.
The
project will be implemented in phases starting with computer science department
and later extending it to other core engineering departments and business
units.
“It
provides central IT with a way to execute the organization’s cloud strategy,
enable the business to choose the best solutions, provide governance through
policies and cloud management tools, and uplevel skills and foster discovery
and distribution of best practices,” Dr. Ankur Gupta, Director, MIET said.

transformation is seen as an enabler to faster time to market and the first
step towards digital transformation. It will promote innovation and
collaboration, providing better ROI to the technology investments for
organizations in tandem with the growing digital adoption in the hybrid working
environments”, Venkata B Ganugula, Founder and CEO of Nebula Cloud, said.
